NEW ALBANY – American technology company, Poly Group has announced that it has developed an antimicrobial polymer which can eradicate biofilm bacteria. Nouvex has secured Environmental Protection Agency approval, the company says, and provides a new way to remove and prevent bacterial contamination.

The technology was developed by Purdue University professor of materials engineering Jeffrey Youngblood, who claims Nouvex is unlike current chemicals used to treat bacteria and does not contain metal agents, such as copper and silver.
