BARCELONA – Yarn producer Nylstar has partnered with textile treatment specialist HeiQ to develop a fabric which is both inherently antimicrobial and antibacterial, and has been found to shed no microfibres.
The pair have subsequently developed Meryl Skinlife Force hi-tech fabrics, which are treated with the HeiQ solution to combat airborne viruses such as SARS-CoV-2. Third-party testing of the Swiss firm’s solution highlighted that it was 99.99 per cent effective against this strain of the coronavirus.
