PHILADELPHIA – American PPE manufacturer K9 Storm is using an ‘ultrasonic metal welding’ process to design watertight seams in its protective vests specially designed for dogs in the military and armed forces. To guarantee working dogs have personal protection comparable to that of their human handlers, the company has partnered with welding company Sonobond Ultrasonics and is manufacturing the vests with its ‘SeamMaster’ ultrasonic sewing machine.
