FRANKFURT – The organisers behind this week’s Techtextil and Texprocess trade shows, which opened their doors for the 2017 edition this morning, say the impressive visitor and exhibitor figures are down to the German market “playing at the top of the Champion’s League” when it comes to technical textile exports, production, and innovations. Tommy Lee reports from Germany.
“It’s hardly a surprise that the figures for this week are so impressive,” says Detlef Braun, member of the executive board at show organisers Messe Frankfurt. “The centre of textile production may be in Asia, but the centre of textile innovation is definitely here in Germany.”
