BARCELONA – Chinese tech specialist ZTE and its Italian partners have developed a new 5G-enabled smart shirt that’s said to enable the detection of a combination of bio parameters that have never before all been detected by textile sensors.
These include an electrocardiogram, a respiratory act analysis, the components of swear, muscle effort and body temperature.
“It is an invention that will change the life and the quality of home and remote medical assistance for many citizens experiencing health problems and vulnerable people suffering from chronic diseases, ensuring accessibility to care services and the support of our national and international network,” said Francesco Rocca, chairman of the Italian Red Cross which has worked with ZTE on the technology’s development.
