OHIO – The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted commercial clearance for a new type of bed linen which is designed to prevent hospital patients from developing pressure ulcers. Designed by American textile manufacturing company Standard Textile, the ‘DermaTherapy’ technology is designed to channel moisture away from the skin, allowing it to be evenly distributed to evaporate over the whole surface of the bedding.
