LEEDS – Future Fashion Factory (FFF), the Yorkshire-based initiative looking to scale up the implementation of technological solutions within industry, has launched its second call for funding as it looks to provide future project applicants with the capital required to scale up new products, services, and circular economy initiatives.
More than £1.6 million has thus far been set aside to fund such projects, with an additional £525,000 being sought from the European Regional Development Fund prior to the closing date of October 25. It’s said that this financing would enhance each project’s mobility in bringing to market various solutions seen to overcome technical challenges present across industry.
Recently, the FFF cherry-picked nine projects to benefit from funding acquired in its first R&D funding call. Finishing firm WT Johnson, textile testing instrument supplier Roaches and fabric producer Abraham Moon & Sons were just of the successful applicants who’d pitched how and where they plan to utilise the cash injection.
