REINACH – Specialty textile chemicals supplier Archroma has teamed up with textile machinery builder Shima Seiki to implement its firm’s Color Atlas library within Shima’s SDS-One product design software.
With the adoption of the Color Atlas, customers of Shima Seiki – known globally for its v-bed knitting machine prowess – gain access to a huge database of 4,320 colour references which enable much more precise fabric sampling, resulting in less waste.
“Accurate colour evaluation and communication are very important issues for design work,” says Hideya Ohtani, general manager of the Graphic System Development Division at Shima Seiki. “We have high expectations for Archroma's Color Atlas to help our Apex series users develop their products in an even more smooth and accurate manner.”
