HOUSTON – Ascend Performance Materials, the world’s largest producer of nylon 6,6 resin, says it’s developing various items of personal protective equipment (PPE), which will be treated with its new Acteev antiviral finish.
The Acteev Protect nonwoven mask will be the firm’s first focus, as it looks to create its variation of the highly-sought after product – which is now adopted not only in heathcare facilities but within broader society.
Later down the line, Ascend says a sports gaiter, N95 respirator and line of surgical masks can make it a versatile supplier to countries around the world as people battle the coronavirus pandemic.
